This scenic Dodge County city is often referred to as the Historic
Gateway to the Horicon Marsh. But the people who call Mayville home
say the unchanging flavor of their beautiful, friendly community is
its real drawing card.
While thousands of visitors travel each year to Mayville to crouch
at the edge of the marsh, view the migrating geese and celebrate the
changing seasons with the annual Audubon Days Festival, there's more
to the city than birds and views.
"When I moved here not so long ago, it only took a few weeks and
the people in my apartment were exchanging keys. I knew right then
