The flu vaccine shortage has led the Visiting Nurse Association
of Waukesha County to cancel all flu shot clinics, and a similar
agency in Milwaukee County reported that it has only enough vaccine
to last through next week.
The Waukesha VNA ran out of vaccine Thursday, spokeswoman Andrea
Kiciak said.
"The shipment we were promised became unavailable until the end
of the month," so clinics are canceled until further notice, she
said.
The Visiting Nurse Association of Wisconsin, the area's largest
flu shot provider, had barely enough vaccine to get through the
first week of its annual immunization campaign. It just received
another shipment that should last through the next week.
