The planned sale of Stroh Brewery Co. to Pabst Brewing Co. and
Miller Brewing Co. has passed muster with the Justice Department, a
Stroh spokeswoman said Tuesday.
The department's antitrust review has been completed, said Lacey
Logan, of Detroit-based Stroh. Department officials did not raise
any objections to the planned merger and did not seek additional
information about the deal, Logan said.
The deal is expected to close in mid-April, she said.
