A group of civic and business leaders proposed Monday that a
Waukesha County Community Foundation be established with an eye
toward raising $4 million to $5 million for non-profit and
charitable organizations.
Developer Bryce P. Styza, who is a member of the group, said one
of the aims of the foundation would be to raise public awareness of
giving to a local foundation that would assist civic and education
groups associated with art, education, health and recreation
activities.
Styza said the Waukesha County Community Foundation would aim to
"address local needs by those closest to the issues," rather than
sending money to an outside organization like the Milwaukee
Foundation.
