Article: Journal Sentinel writers earn honors

Three writers from the Journal Sentinel received top-10 recognition at the Associated Press Sports Editors contest in Redondo Beach, Calif., Feb. 20-24.

Stories written by Journal Sentinel sportswriters Cliff Christl, Dennis Chaptman and D. Orlando Ledbetter were selected to be in the top 10 in their respective categories.

Christl, 51, received the top-10 nod in the enterprise category for his insightful and informative five-part series on the history of baseball in the state of Wisconsin. It was the third top-10 finish for Christl in the past five years.
