A plan to open an alternative school on Main St. in Dousman is
expected to meet resistance Monday night from residents who will
argue it won't mesh with efforts to improve the village's downtown.
"It isn't a fit for what we see as an overall development for
downtown," said Village President Bartley Zilk.
He has spoken with several residents with the same concern, he
said.
The Dousman Village Board and Plan Commission are holding a public
hearing at 7 p.m. Monday at the Village Hall, 118 S. Main St., on
whether to grant a conditional use permit for the Kettle Moraine
School District's plan to open an alternative school at 236-238 N.
