Here are some of the reasons it takes four hours and 10 minutes to
sit through the taping of this week's half-hour episode of "The Drew
Carey Show."
In Scene 1, actress Christa Miller goes up on her lines twice
while her character, Kate, wrestles with an ornery massage chair;
each time, everybody has to go back to where they were and start
over.
In Scene 2, a monitor feed keeps falling over with a dramatic
crash; each time, everybody has to go back to where they were and
start over.
In Scenes 3 through 11, Miller and virtually every other performer
mess up their lines at least once, various pieces of scenery are
discovered to be out of place, and an onstage iMac that should
