In an unusual public show of support, two South Shore mayors have
given their blessing to upcoming maintenance and renovation
referendums in their city's school districts, after opposing similar
measures in the past.
South Milwaukee Mayor David Kieck recently pointed to satisfaction
with the South Milwaukee School Board's efforts to find a reasonable
price for needs as opposed to wants, and Oak Creek Mayor Dale
Richards cited personal comfort with the range of maintenance
options researched by the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School Board.
Voters in South Milwaukee, after shooting down a $32 million
referendum in October, will be asked Tuesday to approve a $3.9
million advisory referendum ...
