Still, something pushed him through the lengthy rehabilitation as long as, really, a career for a lot of players to repair his damaged knee. "I wanted to give myself an honest chance of recovery to satisfy myself," he said. "I never gave up. I thank God for that mentality. Otherwise, I never would have gotten back."
