Article: Furnace may be source of dripping sound

Q: Last January we had a new furnace installed in our home. Our old furnace was an octopus furnace from which the heat rose throughout the house naturally. The new furnace has a blower and filter and uses more electricity.

Whenever the new furnace shuts itself off, I hear a dripping sound. I can't figure out where it's coming from, but I hear it every time the furnace is on.

During the summer I had to get the roof patched. Now that it's cold again, the furnace is on again and the dripping sound has returned. Could this constant drip be damaging the roof? Where is the water
