Brett Hull smiles mischievously and takes the high road when asked
about his adjustment to systems used by the Dallas Stars, the best
defensive team in the regular season.
He's not openly critical but is clearly uncomfortable with his
evolution into a much different player. For many years with the St.
Louis Blues, his former employer, Hull often was a scoring machine.
Hull's offensive production has declined in Dallas. He's been
asked to concentrate on becoming a well-rounded player, one capable
of performing in the closest of games in the post-season tournament.
The son of a hockey legend has five goals and 12 points in 17
National Hockey League playoff games this spring. He has two
