As part of the "Milwaukee Renaissance," the city will get a new
ballpark, new museum additions, a new convention center, and now a
new ark.
The Wisconsin Humane Society's ceremonial groundbreaking is today
on an $8.5 million facility at 4500 W. Wisconsin Ave. that will act
as a lifeboat for increasing numbers of furry friends in need.
The new Humane Society building will replace the Humboldt Blvd.
building that has long been criticized for overcrowding and outdated
equipment. Instead, the new Humane Society building has been
designed with four-footed as well as two-footed clients in mind.
