At times during the past few years, the Milwaukee Brewers have
looked like they were "in a fog" while playing at County Stadium.
On May 15, 1996, it was literally true.
In one of the more memorable games in the stadium's history, the
Brewers dropped a 20-8 decision to the Chicago White Sox in a contest
that will forever be remembered as "The Fog Game."
"That was one of the most bizarre games I've ever been involved
with," said Brewers third base coach Doug Mansolino, who was coaching
for the White Sox at that time.
"I was coaching third that night and I could barely see the
outfielders. It was spooky. It was like looking into a graveyard in
Transylvania. You couldn't see any tombstones, ...
