A 52-year-old Green Bay Packers fan with short-term memory loss
was found unharmed Sunday, more than 19 hours after he wandered from
the game at Lambeau Field and left desperate relatives frantically
searching for him.
Ernest E. Nilo of Racine had lived out a lifelong dream Saturday
when he went to the Green Bay Packers game. But the dream quickly
turned into a nightmare when he became disoriented and wandered from
Lambeau at halftime alone and unaware of where he was. He had
suffered debilitating head injuries two years ago.
But fliers posted by devoted relatives led to a joyous and tearful
reunion late Sunday afternoon after Nilo was found less than a mile
from the stadium.
