Article: Mayors discuss merging some community services Leaders from Cudahy, South Milwaukee, St. Francis want councils to decide soon on whether to conduct study

The mayors of South Milwaukee, St. Francis and Cudahy on Monday said they would like their respective common councils to decide by early October whether the three communities should study the feasibility of merging fire and emergency response services.

The mayors, David Kieck of South Milwaukee, Milton Vretenar of St. Francis and Raymond S. Glowacki of Cudahy, along with several alderman from each city met for about an hour Monday night to discuss the issue.

St. Francis Aldermen Dennis Lillrose and Stanley Raclaw said improving paramedic service should be decided first.
