Regarding those October dates you had blocked off for Milwaukee
Brewers' post-season play:
Unblock them.
It's official. Wait till next millennium.
It only seems like a thousand years since the Brewers' last
excursion into the post-season. Actually it was a mere 17 years ago
that Harvey's Wallbangers made it to the World Series against the St.
Louis Cardinals.
The current Brewers, with which any resemblance to the 1982
American League champions is purely coincidental, rolled over for the
pennant-bound Arizona Diamondbacks and Steve Finley, 9-1, before a
surly crowd of 14,393 that included Milwaukee Mayor John Norquist on
Wednesday.
Not even having their ace Hideo Nomo on the mound could keep ...
