Article: Council OKs letting dealership have sewer service Auto group agrees to pay $48,000, signs petition for annexation to city

Ewald Automotive Group will pay the city $48,652 to connect its Ford dealership under construction on Highway 60 in the Town of Hartford to municipal sewer and water lines, a sewer service agreement says.

In exchange for the service, the company has signed a petition for annexation in which it asks the city to incorporate its 20.5-acre property north of the highway at an unspecified date.

The Hartford Common Council approved the service agreement with Ewald at its Tuesday meeting.

The agreement also requires Ewald to pay $3.39 per 1,000 gallons of waste water it flushes into the system, plus a monthly charge of $12.87. Ewald will pay 125% of the water rate charged to customers in the city.
