Article: Winemaking hobby becomes delicious business for New Glarus couple

Winemaking began innocently enough for Bob Borucki. A bottle here, a bottle there, made with the grapes, apples, cherries and plums growing around him on his small farm in Michigan.

As demand among friends and relatives for his wine grew, Borucki, a seed salesman, began to turn out ever-larger numbers of bottles of white, red and blush wines.

In 1990, Borucki, a self-taught winemaker, turned his hobby into a small business, hoping that baby boomers like himself would start turning from beer to wine.
