Article: DEER HUNTING Zone T hunt targets high populations; Special antlerless-only season begins Thursday

Deer hunters have a chance to bring home some venison and, at the same time, help wildlife managers regain control of extremely high deer populations in northeastern Wisconsin during a Zone T antlerless hunt, a firearm season that opens Thursday and runs through next Sunday.

The hunt, for antlerless deer only, will take place in deer management units 51A, 62B, 63A, 65B, 66, 67B, 80A and state park unit 80C. Access to unit 80C is limited to hunters who successfully applied for the unit hunt before July 20. Boundaries for the units are shown on pages 32 and 33 of the 1999 Wisconsin Hunting Regulations.
