Rosemary Riemer, Waukesha, sent her recipe for pinwheel cake as
requested by Jeanette Kraft, Muskego.
She wrote: "My mother cut this recipe from a box of Baker's
Chocolate many years ago. It became, and still is, a family birthday
cake. A birthday isn't a birthday unless we have Pinwheel Cake. The
directions on the box were printed so small she typed them. As a
matter of fact, my nephew's wife baked and froze the cake a day
before she delivered her baby on May 27 to surprise him on his
birthday May 29. That was cutting it close."
