The TV remote control wins fingers down over the computer keyboard, a study released today reveals.

And it's not just because more American homes have television sets than computers, according to the study by the California-based Kaiser Family Foundation.

"We've heard a lot of hype about the new digital world, and how computers are taking over, and how kids are turning away from the TV, but that's true for only a small percent of children," said Don Roberts, a Stanford University professor of communication and a co- author of the report. "The majority of kids have access to computers. But on the whole, they spend relatively little time using them."
