Article: Dells hotel sold for $34 million Black Wolf Lodge, opened in 1997, is vacation area's largest lodge

Black Wolf Lodge, the largest hotel in the Wisconsin Dells area, has been sold, real estate records show.

Brothers Andrew and John D. Waterman, along with Tall Pines Rental LLC, sold the property for $33.8 million this month, according to a deed filed with the Sauk County register of deeds office.

The deed lists the purchaser as Great Bear Lodge of Wisconsin Dells. That firm is affiliated with Madison-based Great Lakes Companies Inc., records at the State Department of Financial Institutions indicate.

Neither the Watermans nor Great Lakes representatives were available for comment this week.
