On a recent autumn afternoon, my husband and I were about to sit
down at our kitchen farm table for a sandwich and iced tea when I
suggested having our lunch in the dining room. It reminded me of what
a nice and elegant touch dining rooms can add to our lives -- not
just at holiday time, but all year round.
Dining rooms are special places in the home. Like many families,
we don't use ours every day, but for most of us the holiday season is
when we start to focus more on the dining room and the role it plays
in our home.
