The Tampa Bay Buccaneers qualified for the playoffs before they
took the field Sunday in a 29-10 victory over the Green Bay Packers.
The Pittsburgh Steelers officially boosted Tampa Bay into the post-
season with a 30-20 victory over Carolina Sunday at Three Rivers
Stadium.
It marks the fifth time in franchise history the Buccaneers (10-
5) have qualified for the playoffs. NFC Central Division rivals
Minnesota (9-6) and Detroit (8-7) have also clinched playoff spots.
Tampa Bay can earn the division crown outright with a victory next
weekend at Chicago. It would represent Tampa's first division title
in 18 years and guarantee a first-round playoff bye. The Buccaneers
