Article: Board authorizes getting advice on incorporation Town of Grafton resident questions need to spend money studying issue

The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Wednesday to authorize its chairman to seek professional advice on whether the town should incorporate as a village.

There was almost no discussion on the motion, except for one resident who asked to be heard before the vote.

"Before you make any studies, you should figure out if this is going to be a waste of time and money," said Robert Stone of the block of 2200 Stonecroft Drive.

One requirement for incorporation is for the town to be a compact area, Stone said.

"We don't even have the same school districts," Stone said.
