In one of the busiest weeks for new, big-name album releases, six
new albums debuted in the top 10 this week.
Rock-rap hybrid Rage Against the Machine scored its second
straight No. 1 album with "The Battle of Los Angeles," with an
impressive 430,000 copies sold in the week ended Sunday, according to
SoundScan figures.
The next three entries on the chart were also new releases -- from
pop queen Mariah Carey, rapper Lil' Wayne and a WWF wrestling
compilation. Adult contemporary act Counting Crows and rockers Foo
Fighters also bowed in the top 10.
According to Sony Music, which scored a one-two punch with the
Rage and Carey debuts, sales of the top 200 ...
