Article: Big Cedar Lake has long been accessible

Commenting favorably on the new public access site on Little Cedar Lake, "They're out to launch at Little Cedar Lake" (Nov. 30), Jim Rubenzer of Taxpayers United for Lake Access is quoted as saying, "Our group had been pushing for this sort of thing for several years. . . . The present generation, most kids, have never spent a day on Big Cedar Lake."

Evidently, Mr. Rubenzer is unfamiliar with the facts about public access to Big Cedar Lake and thus may well leave readers with the wrong impression that there is no public access to Big Cedar Lake.

In fact, there are four public access locations on Big Cedar Lake that have been available since sometime near the turn of the century, free ...
