Article: DMX's new album debuts at top spot

Hard-core rapper DMX had a huge week at the nation's retailers, dethroning holiday queen Celine Dion as the No. 1 seller during the week of Christmas.

In the week that ended Sunday, DMX's new album, "And Then There Was X," debuted at No. 1 on sales of more than 698,000 copies, according to SoundScan figures.

"X" is DMX's second consecutive No. 1 debut, following last year's "It's Dark & Hell Is Hot."

Another posthumous release from Tupac Shakur scored a top 10 debut as well; "Still I Rise," the rapper's album with the Outlawz, debuted at No. 7.
