I'm typing this on a cold computer keyboard in a chilly house. It's Jan. 31, the high for the day was 26 degrees, the low 18 and my furnace has gone out. If my computer screen had a defrost option, I'd use it.

The sun just set and the expert estimate is that the furnace died early this morning, judging by the 56-degree temperature indoors now.
