Time to tackle fishing rod repairs

Ripon -- Most fishermen take the time to "winterize" their
outboard motors and trailers. Some even clean, grease and oil their
reels. But what about their fishing rods?
"Most guys do absolutely nothing," said Randy "Buzz" Butters.
Butters, a longtime hunting and fishing buddy of mine, operates a
part-time custom fishing rod building and repair business out of his
home in Ripon. I paid him a visit recently at his basement workshop.
Right now is the time to check your fishing rods for problems,
Butters said.
