The best reporters know when to end a story before it runs on too long. Scott Feldmeyer, who no doubt has worked at more media outlets in Milwaukee over the past 25 years than anyone else, is ending his opus magnum, the story of his life.

It's a story filled with failure and rejection. Ultimately, though, it is one of success, and, like all good fables, it's dripping in irony.
