West Allis -- State Fair officials probably will check buildings
ready for demolition a bit closer from now on after the recent
surprise discovery of a 1956 time capsule in the rubble of an old
dormitory.
The contents of the capsule, which was found beneath the
cornerstone of the old Youth Dorm being demolished for a State Fair
Park renovation, are being prepared for special display at this
year's fair.
"It's a kick," said Rick Bjorklund, State Fair executive director.
"I'm just very happy that the construction crews were able to salvage
it."
According to a letter inside the capsule written by then-Gov.
