Manassas put another high-tech feather in its cap this
week as state officials chose Manassas Regional Airport as a
backdrop for unveiling a cockpit-based weather and navigation system
now available for pilots of small aircraft.
"It's like having the Weather Channel in your cockpit,"
said Angelynn Hall, director of communications for the Small
Aircraft Manufacturers Association. Hall recently installed the
system in her plane and found it incredibly useful during a rainy
flight from Minnesota.
"Weather information is invaluable if you are a pilot," she
