Packers warm to sale of naming rights for Lambeau Field

The possibility that naming rights to Lambeau Field might be put up for sale someday gained momentum Tuesday.

Green Bay Mayor Paul Jadin, after lengthy negotiations with Green Bay Packers executives, unveiled a resolution that paves the way for the naming rights to be sold. Jadin said he hoped the Common Council would vote on the measure in July.

The resolution, which has the Packers' support, sets in motion a process in which certain conditions would have to be met for selling the naming rights to Lambeau Field. The city owns the stadium.
