Man loses appeal of strangulation conviction

Madison -- The 3rd District Court of Appeals Tuesday upheld the
murder conviction of a man who strangled a girlfriend's 12-year-old
daughter and hid her body in a marsh.
Norbert "Bill" Ellis, 50, was convicted in Marinette County in
January 1999 of first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a
corpse.
Ellis appealed his conviction, arguing that the court should not
have allowed evidence of sexual encounters between him and children
other than the victim.
Jennifer Wallace disappeared in November 1997, about two months
