County Board panel rejects ethics code proposal

Elkhorn -- The Walworth County Board doesn't need its own code of ethics, according to members of a board committee whose members include three county supervisors who were accused last month of meddling in the operations of county departments.

The board's Administrative Committee voted unanimously Thursday to recommend to the full board that it reject a proposed code of ethics for county supervisors and rely instead on a state ethics code for local government officials.
