Sometimes, it hurts to be right.

Take the case of Tony Stewart, for instance. In the months between the end of the 1999 NASCAR Winston Cup season and the start of this one, Stewart constantly heard all the talk of how, after his sensational rookie year, he could be the first driver since Dale Earnhardt to be rookie of the year one season and series champion the next.
