Porcupine magazine offers meeting point for words, art

Cedarburg -- Putting together a first-class blend of words and art is the picture William "Buzz" Reed and his wife, Vicki, had in mind when they created the magazine Porcupine four years ago.

Starting with a group of friends, the Reeds began planning the magazine in 1995.

The first issue premiered in spring 1996. It now has a circulation of 1,000 that boasts of subscribers in every state, as well as the Philippines, Israel, and Germany, among other places. Porcupine is published semi-annually.
