New York -- The only thing the Knicks know for sure is that they
don't have a game today. The future is uncertain, the recent past
painful to discuss.
For now, they must deal with coming so close to a second straight
trip to the NBA Finals. Plus, the unhappy task of cleaning out their
lockers at Purchase College.
"It hurts when you go home and sit around and think about it
because you don't have anything else to do," Charlie Ward said after
the Knicks' 93-80 loss to the Pacers on Friday night that eliminated
them from the Eastern Conference finals, four games to two.
