It's hard to argue with success. Property values in Wisconsin are soaring because of a number of factors, not the least of which is the state's galloping economy. The 7.4% gain in property values across Wisconsin added a record $19.8 billion to the tax rolls.

That's welcome news to those who already own property, especially in certain parts of the state such as Burnett County, where values jumped by a whopping 20.2%. Rising property values do benefit homeowners, even people with modest houses, because a property's value reflects the selling price of a home were it placed on the market.
