Bucher urges Chmura to make good on request to be tried soon

Waukesha -- Calling Mark Chmura's interview a failed public relations ploy, Waukesha County District Attorney Paul Bucher challenged Chmura to make good on his stated desire to go to trial quickly.

"All we ever wanted is a trial date," Bucher said Sunday. "If this is what you want, I call your bluff. Let's go to trial. Let's go to trial tomorrow."

Also Sunday, an 18-year-old woman who has accused Chmura of sexually assaulting her at an April 9 post-prom party would not respond to Chmura's interview, a family ...
