Our forefathers deserve more credit

Craig Gilbert's article on the Electoral College was, in my opinion, far too careless on such an important subject ("What to fix, keep in Electoral College?" Dec. 4). The tone of the article caused a casual reader to think that everyone believes the Electoral College is either outdated or just plain wrong.
