When is a hot dog not a hot dog? The correct answer is: when it's a Chicago hot dog. Which is nothing like a Coney Island, ballpark or school-lunch hot dog.

A full Chicago hot dog, a food icon of the city, is constructed like this. It begins with an all-beef, hickory-smoked hot dog cradled into the crease of a soft, steamed, poppy seed bun.
