Green Bay -- Maybe the Green Bay Packers made a mistake by re- signing Frank Winters, the veteran center who has been as much a part of the team's identity the past nine years as freezing temperatures and bare-armed linemen.

If they signed him to be Mike Flanagan's caddy, then yes they did. Winters said as much to offensive line coach Larry Beightol when he signed his revised contract three weeks ago.
