Felon's burglary spree leads to 20-year term

A repeat felon whose latest crimes involved an apartment burglary spree in the downtown Juneau Village complex has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Gary Lynn Curtis, who committed the break-ins while on parole for a prior burglary conviction, also was ordered to serve 20 years of extended supervision in the community. His wife, Shawn Amber Curtis, who was convicted of aiding in some of the burglaries, was placed on five years of probation and sentenced to nine months in jail.
