Digital Access delays entry into cable market

Plans for Milwaukee put on hold until company secures more financing

Digital Access Inc., a start-up that touted itself as a new competitor to Time Warner Cable, said Thursday it is delaying plans to enter the Milwaukee market.

Last June, Digital Access told local officials it would build its own broadband network and sell cable TV and other services in metropolitan Milwaukee as early as the second quarter of this year.

The company said that it planned to roll out service in 31 communities over a three-year period.
