Liens filed against Northland College
Subcontractors did not get paid for their work on $12 million
science building, official says

Ashland -- Northland College has been served with liens totaling
nearly $900,000 against its new $12 million science building from
subcontractors who performed work or supplied material for the
building but have not been paid.
Harold Vanselow Jr., the college's vice president of finance and
administration, said Monday that the $884,275 in liens could rise to
more than $1 million.
The liens were filed in Ashland County Circuit Court against the
college for work performed on the Larson-Juhl Center for Science and
