Strong jet stream flow keeps cool, wet weather around

With normal high temperatures in the low 70s, it's no exaggeration to say that for the past few weeks it has been downright chilly.

In fact Monday's high temperature of 51 was the normal high for April 10, 20 degrees below the normal high for June 4.

As usual the jet stream flow has had a lot to do with our chilly, wet weather. Usually during this time of the year the jet stream weakens and tends to flow near, or to the north of Wisconsin. This causes surface low-pressure systems to track to the north of the Milwaukee area.
