Panel dubious about using golf course for parking

Future of Moor Downs may be affected by jail expansion

Waukesha -- The city Landmarks Commission questioned a county official Wednesday about the latest recommendations made by a consultant for the county's $60 million jail expansion. The new recommendation proposes using parts of the Moor Downs Golf Course for parking and even future county buildings.

"There is just a lot of uncertainty about that," County Parks and Land Use Director Dale Shaver said of using the golf course for parking.
