Crash this `Anniversary Party,' just for the chill of it

Write about what you know, people say. So it's not that
surprising, not always that interesting and predictably narcissistic,
that actors would make a film about actors.
"The Anniversary Party" -- the writing and directing debut by
actors Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alan Cumming, who also co-star -- is
a Hollywood colony soap opera with a newfangled style and old-
fashioned structure.
Leigh played in "Cabaret" on Broadway opposite Cumming's emcee,
and made this film fresh off "The King Is Alive," a stripped-down
Dogma 95 film by Danish director Kristian Levring. Like some ...
